Description
A pair of "near threatened" Inca Terns photographed at the San Diego Zoo in Southern California. Their native habitat, along the rocky pacific coast of Peru and Chili has been threatened by overfishing and guano mining, causing a rapid decline in their population. However, conservation efforts are underway and marine protected areas have been identified and designated to provide safe spaces for breeding and habitat.
A portion of proceeds from the purchase of any products featuring this image will be donated to support marine wildlife conservation.
