Description
This Chilean Flamingo is resplendent with its long legs and curving neck, unique facial features and adorned in bright shades of pink and coral.
These beautiful bird species is listed as near threatened by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This means that their populations are declining and will continue to do so if we do not act to help protect them. We have the ability to help protect these birds as the largest threats to this species are mostly human related. They are often victims of hunting, trapping and egg harvesting. They also face threats from loss of habitat and environmental pollutants.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of prints, products and gift items featuring this image will be donated to support wildlife conservation.
