Save the bees! Bee pollination accounts for nearly 90% of all the world's food supply. While human populations continue to rise, bee populations have been in a sharp decline since the use of commercial pesticides began. Also causing harm to our bee populations are electromagnetic radiation, habitat loss, diseases and parasites. Without reversing this cycle, the future of the world's food supply is in danger.
This vintage style digital work of photographic expressionism features fun facts about bees including their speed of flight, reproduction rates and how they carry pollen. The piece was created from original photographs taken by the artist of bees within a hive, building and filling the cells of honeycomb, combined with other artistic elements.
