This whimsical loose watercolor painting depicts a Sandpiper strutting it's stuff on the beach at sunrise on a spring morning. The inspiration for this painting came from watching the sandpipers along the waters edge on the coast of the Sea of Cortez in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. There are several species of Sandpiper that span the globe and they are a common sight on many beaches, however due to climate change, loss of habitat and dwindling food supplies their numbers have been declining. A portion of your purchase of this original painting, prints, or any products containing this image will be donated to help support wildlife conservation.
