Description
The Point Pinos Lighthouse in Pacific Grove is the longest continuously operating lighthouse on the west coast of the United States. It has been in operation since 1855 and remains a working lighthouse to this day. The original Fresnel lens is still in place, but the light source itself has been changed many times over the years starting with whale oil, and most recently changed to an LED bulb.
