Description
Red telephone boxes used to be a common site throughout the United Kingdom and British colonies. Now, with pay phone use declining, many are being repurposed for other uses such as mini libraries, tourist attractions, storage for defibrillators, unique decor pieces like aquariums, and more. At the time this photograph was taken, these were still in use at Fort George in Scotland, where they still have a working army barracks. A selective color post processing technique highlights the bright red boxes against a black and white background.
