This playful pelican perched by the ocean is a perfect painting to add a polychromatic pop of color to any beach house. It would also be a fun and whimsical addition to an ocean themed children's room.
This painting was made from reference of a photograph the artist took of a Brown Pelican perched on a railing at the Harbor in Avalon, on Catalina Island in Southern California. During mating season Pelicans of breeding age become more colorful. That was the inspiration for this vibrant, colorful watercolor piece.
